Will Smith has been a vocal supporter of Barack Obama and his plan to extend taxes on the welathy, but during a visit to France he was asked if he would support a 75% tax level precisely what's being proposed by new Socialist President of France.
Business Insider explains, "The Hollywood megastar enthusiastically preached the book of paying one's equal share of taxes in a French television interview this weekend."
"But when asked questions about his take on the tax policy of French president-elect Franois Hollande, Smith's was surprised silly by the recommendation of a 75 % tax level on those earning above 1 million annually," reported BI's Alex Biles.
"I have no issue with Will Smith," Glenn announced at the beginning of the video.
Glenn explained that Smith shares the same opinion as many in Hollywood that the rich need to pay more in taxes.
In the interview, Smith responds with a "God Bless America" and a giggle on hearing President-elect Hollande's suggested rate of 75%.
"You can see the particular shock of that number," Stu said. "( Smith ) is not a tax expert in Western european economics. It strikes him as shocking as it should strike you."
